Icarus was a two minute performance that was repeated ten times over half an hour to small audiences. Audiences entered a makeshift room; feathers hung in the air around them as a broken creature heaved under the suspended frames of two large wings. Over the 60 seconds this creature relived his moment too close to the sun, the apex of his flight before crashing back down the earth. This performance was about re-creating the moment that Icarus’s wings came undone.
